API reference
The REST API documentation is published as an OpenAPI 3.1 document: https://api.gainencore.ai/openapi.json. It covers agents, conversations and transcripts, knowledge bases, custom tools and chat completions.
Base URL: https://api-platform.gainencore.ai. All endpoints use the /api/v1/ prefix.

MCP server for AI assistants
Encore runs a remote Model Context Protocol (MCP) server so AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT can work with your agents, conversations and knowledge bases on your behalf, after you approve access.

The assistant only gets the access you grant when you sign in, and you can revoke it at any time. See AI agents and connected apps.
Authentication
API keys: create a key in the platform under Settings → API Keys and send it as X-API-Key or Authorization: Bearer. Keys are bound to one organization.
OAuth 2.0 / OpenID Connect: authorization server metadata is published at /.well-known/oauth-authorization-server and /.well-known/openid-configuration. The authorization server advertises PKCE (S256), a client registration endpoint, pushed authorization requests (PAR), DPoP and mutual TLS sender-constrained tokens, and private_key_jwt client authentication.
